Sims Buick History

So, you know that we're a car dealership that features Buick's, GMC's, and Nissan's- but we would like to tell you a little more about who we are and where we came from.  Our owners, Bill and Ken Sims, are originally from Cleveland.  Before getting into the car business, Bill and Ken's father began his entrepreneurial career with his own furniture store.  Not long after, their father and uncles got together and opened a Buick franchise in Euclid in 1953.  Then, one by one, each of the Sims brothers branched out and opened their own Buick dealerships; that's how Sims Buick GMC ended up on Elm Road in Warren in 1973.  The store was sold to the next generation of the Sims brothers, Bill and Ken, in 1989 and we've been continuing to thrive ever since!  We are currently working on renovating our dealership with a total remodel of our lot, as well as updating the look of our showroom!

Ken Sims is married and lives in Warren, Ohio where he enjoys golfing, skiing, and cooking with his three children.  Bill Sims is also a fan of skiing and golfing, and recently took up tennis.  The Sims brothers are both involved in the American Heart Association charity as well.

  1. Good Day Gentlemen.
    My name is Phillip Zigler.
I lived in Willowby Ohio for 17 years.
I have known your cousins and Uncles very well as i worked for Sims Buick as a salesperson on Euclid Avenue.
I spent 10 years at your fine dealership and it was the best position I ever had.
I am retired now but have nothing but good feelings for your Uncle Stan and Andyas well as Rudy although i didn't know him very well.
My favorite was your Aunt Mary. I truly loved working when she was at the front reception.
I hope that the next generation of the Sims Brothers will continue the fine traditions set up by your family.
    Best wishes and God Bless
